In 2009, after two years in the making, “Back in the World” Portraits of Wisconsin Vietnam Veterans, debuted at the Chazen Museum of Art. I have to say that his was a pretty big deal for me as a photographer.  I felt it was an honor to photograph these men and women who had served in Vietnam and I wanted to make sure that the images I created did them and the documentary “Wisconsin Vietnam War Stories” from which it sprung, justice.

Yesterday UWEX’s WisContext published this article on their site.  It was good to see the images used again and I was excited to see them repurposed.

Most of the portrait’s from the Wisconsin War Stories series were shown at the Trout Museum in Appleton (Link) in 2015 and I am proud to let you know that they will be shown at UW-Whitewater this fall.
